I've heard of Sufis but I dunno wat they do or what it is..but from this video this is what I have to say..with all due respect to Sufis Allah has already given us ways to worship him..I just don't see the need for all this chanting and bending over like that..I appreciate the fact that theyre dedicatin time to remember Allah and worship him only at that time and concentrate on that but it doesn't have to be like that..it was kinda scary lol..sorrie!!
But what he said at the end abt the misunderstandings and all I agree with that..!! Just how I see it Very Happy
Islam is a simple easy religion and everyone everywhere just keeps dividing it further and further into little pieces..its sad!! Sad

Allah and Our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have given us the way to worship Him, it is written in the Quran and Sunna, so why did they create their own way to express their Love to Allah? (Dancing, chanting, etc.) Did the prophet teach us to do those weird things???

Sufism:
A sufi is a person who could detaches himself from worldly things + could lay his whole life on a market place for everyone to see.
[Meaning.. that, they wouldn't have anything to hide]

So sufism, isn't just restricted to Musims+Islam.
A Hindu, Christian or Jew could be a Sufi.

Also, Florence Nightingale, while she was serving in the Crimean War reportedly had a spiritual conversion to Islam, as she wrote in some books that:
“England needs to go to the Sufis”
She went to Al-Azhar [in Cairo] She wrote in her diary, she was struck by the spirituality, she heard in her heart something telling her turn towards Makkah, all of humanity is one, we are all under 1 God and there is salvation for all of us.

Therefore, if the Sufis were able to spread Dawah the way they did to Nightingale, there must be some good in it.

So that's the definition of a Sufi, i hope i articulated myself well.
