Outlandish receives HK/Kommunals Cultural Award

Outlandish received a cultural award named Jytte prize which is given every two years in recognition of one or more persons who have drawn attention especially in the cultural area, which has a distorted view of the world, and as with heart and soul, fighting for his case.

Besides a vase, which has been created by the glass artist Pernille Bülow from Bornholm, the award winner gets a cheque for 10.000 crowns.

Outlandish on BBC Asian Network

For those of you who missed the live interview and performance Outland did with BBC Asian Network as Noreen's Eid Party special guest, you still have a chance to listen to the program by clicking the following link:

During the interview the band and backing vocalist/guitarist Jonas performed acoustic versions of 3 of their songs; Let Off Some Steam, I Only Ask Of God and Feels Like Saving The World.

Also the program was an opportunity for many fans to speak to Outlandish, ask question and even request special shout outs or performances.

Outlandish on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'
Outlandish members Isam, Lenny and Waqas were contestants on television quiz show  "Hvem vil være millionær?"  the danish version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The guys participation was for charitable purposes.

Feels Like Saving The World Enters Tracklisten Top-40
"Feels Like Saving The World" the second single from Sound of a Rebel album made its debut this week at number 40 in "Tracklisten" the official Top 40 Singles chart in Denmark.

The single will likely continue to climb the charts if you continue your support and downloaded the mp3 on iTunes

Outlandish made it into the Top 5 for MTV EMAs Best Danish Act!

Yas moros! Congragulations! With your massive help, Outlandish made it into the top 5 names for the Best Danish Act award. But we are not there yet, a new poll is opened for the Top 5 names and you can vote as many times as you want until 11th October. Here is the link:

Outlandish in New York!

On the 12th of September, Outlandish will be performing in the UN assembly hall in New York along with the world famous Pakistani group Junoon amongst others in responding to the humanitarian crisis in Pakistan.
